Our 2022 annual fundraising initiative takes all of this into account, and we are delighted to announce “Around the World Solo Relay with Castledaly GAA” which will take place on Saturday October 22nd, 2022. We are inviting our community, based locally and our wider diaspora around the world, including the UK, USA, UAE, Mali, Australia, New Zealand, and even as far away as Offaly, to pick up a ball and solo for Castledaly GAA. The final leg of the Solo Relay will be from Cusack Park in Mullingar to our spiritual home of Castledaly GAA pitch. Taking part will be all members of our community, including our underage and senior teams, mothers and others and fit club members. We are also delighted to announce that members of the winning teams from the Senior Championship (2008), Intermediate Championship (1994) and the Junior Championship (1983) will be soloing a leg of the relay. The money raised will allow the club to further serve our community for the coming year, from maintaining the pitches for all our players to keeping the lights on during the winter for the walking track. The club is looking to foster an inclusive and respectful culture and environment that promotes the health and lifelong participation of our members. We understand that there are many demands on people’s money, so we are asking to give what you can, whether it be €1 or €100, you will receive the same welcome at the pitch of our community club, Castledaly GAA. Simply click the Donate button on this page. All donations are processed securely. You can help us by sharing the page using the Share options on this page. This is a great way to show your support. Many thanks for all your support.
Castledaly is a small club, nestled close to the Offaly border between Athlone and Moate, with a proud tradition of perseverance in the face of adversity. A completely rural club, Castledaly is located in the south of Co. Westmeath. In 2011, Castledaly had a total population of approximately 1180 people in its catchment area (according to CSO figures).
Battling against the odds has made success difficult but all the sweeter when tasted. The GAA Club has been the dominant figure in Castledaly life over the past 75 years and has been a binding force in the lives of so many people in the community. There are very few people hailing from this district that wouldn’t be someway affected by Gaelic football in their everyday lives.

Our Membership fees are an integral part of the finances of our club. We have membership options which cater to individual players, social and supporting members along with competitively priced family options. Club membership is important to ensure players are registered with our club and respective GAA bodies, the club incurs a number of annual charges per player from our governing bodies, insurance, etc. which membership fee’s directly cover.
