The GAA has outlined plans for a safe return to action including key
dates for the re-opening of all pitches and when club and inter-county
competitions may resume.

8 June – Designated walking tracks may re-open – ( Castledaly GAA
Walking Track is still under reconstruction and will remain
unavailable until completed – we look forward to announcing its
re-opening as soon as a definite date is available )

29 June – All GAA pitches to re-open, small group training for adults
and juvenile teams
20 July – Collective outdoor training can resume, Covid Supervisors
required to check temperatures and Health Questionnaires must be
recorded before entry to grounds
31 July: Club competitions can resume including juvenile and youth
competitions, limitations on spectator numbers to be confirmed in line
with Government guidelines
10 August: Access to GAA buildings and indoor facilities including
meeting rooms, gyms, exercise studios permitted
14 September: Inter-county training can resume
17 October: Inter-county competitions to take place no sooner than
then with fully revised calendar to be published in Phase Three

All this can take place as long as the five main safety steps remain
implemented
(1) Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly for 20 seconds
(2) Maintain social distancing – currently 2m
(3) Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
(4) Practice respiratory hygiene – covering your mouth and nose with
your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze.
(5) If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early.

The sunshine may have eased this week but we are still encouraging
players and supporters to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air, very
important for absorbing Vitamin D and general well being.
There are lots of weekly challenges available online on
WestmeathGAA.ie and CastledalyGAAClub Facebook page to help players
work on their skills and fitness, while keeping within the national
health and safety guidelines.

Travelling the roads we dont see each others faces but it has been
uplifting and energising to see each others club and county flags and
colours flying and knowing that you are well and connected, and there
to support each other, to inspire and to brighten the days in our
present, and to look forward to brighter days in our future, our
community spirit and togetherness – We Are In This Together.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all families and friends who have
lost loved ones in recent weeks.
